At 19 Dobrolyubova Street, a new installation has appeared as part of the public art festival "ЧӦ" by Atomstroykomplex - "Viewpoint” by Artem Stefanov. The art piece is an image of an eye composed of 12 layers made of plywood mounted on a metal frame. At first glance, the installation creates an illusion of disconnected parts, but from a certain viewpoint, it gains integrity and forms a unified picture. Spectators can move between different parts of the work and become living elements of it.
"This isn't my first installation in this format. A couple of years ago, I wanted to explore the three-dimensional space while staying within the realm of two-dimensional work and not losing certain themes characteristic of my art, such as movement, rhythm, and transformation. I believe that through trial and error involving structure and working with color, this project sums up the work I've done over these past couple of years. The eye, which has almost become my trademark, perfectly reflects this and interacts well with the theme of this festival. 'Point of view' as a cornerstone. In simple terms, visible unity takes its form only when you find that point," the author comments on their work.
