INVASION

The artwork "Invasion" for the #ARCA project represents the artist's creative interpretation of the specifics of contemporary culture — the merging of the digital technology world and physical reality due to the gradual 'digitization' of various aspects of human life. On the one hand, an increasing part of our activities occurs in electronic spaces and the internet; on the other hand, virtual technologies, in turn, extend beyond their mediums and actively intrude into our material reality. The so-called 'glitch,' often used in Stefanov's works, is this time placed on the gates of the Educational Center of MMOMA in Yermolaevsky Lane, taking into account the texture and architecture of the building. Although initially having a digital nature, the 'glitch' manages to transition into the real world, using the building's facade as a canvas for its intrusion and taking form through simple artistic methods.
