At the core of the work is a simulation: a body collides with a barrier made of countless particles, triggering a chain of mechanical interactions with the prototype of the painted object. A single frame from this process is transferred into physical space. As a trace of an experiment or an imprint of time, it refers to Kaluga’s scientific legacy, where technology has long existed alongside imagination in the exploration of space. The work becomes an image of transition: between the virtual and the material, between calculation and chance, between what is still unfolding and what has already come to an end.
